Digital Photos

Having done my duty in posting comments related to the 2.0 Flickr assignment I now feel obligated to reveal that I have still been using my faithful 35 mm film camera to take pictures despite the harassment I receive from embarrassed family members. In fact if I want to post pictures on Flickr for this assignment I will have to ask for digital photos from these family members and it could get ugly--they are not above inconsiderate laughter and the use of words like "old fashioned" and "It's time you joined the real world, mom." Last week my beloved 35 mm died on me. It's probably time for me to move on.

Its actually kind of sad how film cameras are disappearing. I was looking at a friends wedding photos today and I knew the photographer had used a digital camera so I knew all the lighting, coloring etc was all done in photoshop.

And now that all I have is a digital camera, I don't have any physical photos. Everything is online or on my computer. But instead of waiting to see friends and family to show them photos of my vacation, I can just email them links, so I guess there is a plus side.

You can get a very nice Digital SLR now tho, they are impressive, plus yoou may be able to find one that will use your old lenses thereby saving all kinds of money

Good news, bad news. My film camera is now working. No urgency to move on to a digital camera except taunts from family. I suspect I'll just receive a digital camera for Christmas and that will end the discussion....
